Case in point is the recently released Porsche PTC 911, featuring a mag-wheel-inspired rotor design that may have you spending more time looking through the sapphire crystal caseback than at the actual time. The case is made of black titanium carbide coating with a glass bead-blasted finish, and the screw-down sapphire caseback is transparent for a clear view of the movement. The fixed black titanium bezel frames a black analog dial with white indices and Arabic numeral markers. A date window is positioned at 4 o’clock, while subdials include a single rocker switch, central seconds, a 30-minute counter at 12 o'clock, and a 12-hour counter at 6 o'clock. Functions include hours, minutes, date, chronograph flyback, mechanical function display, and a tachymetric scale. The black rubber strap features an Alcantara inlay and LaserFlex profile, secured with a titanium deployant clasp. The sapphire crystal has a hard coating, is scratch-proof, and features sevenfold anti-glare properties on both sides for optimal readability. A screw-in crown enhances water resistance, and the watch is powered by the Porsche Design Caliber WERK 01.200 with a 48-hour power reserve. A screw-down crown creates a water-resistant seal; to adjust settings, unscrew the crown counterclockwise, pull/push into position to set time and date, and screw it back clockwise to close.
