KAREN MILLEN CELEBRATES BRITISH DESIGN WITH ARTHUR MAMOU-MANI
This season we have collaborated with architect Arthur Mamou-Mani as part of an innovative in-store initiative with the Royal Institute of British Architects. The Regent Street Windows Project 2013, which matches architects with fashion brands on Regent Street, celebrates and draws parallels between the two worlds incorporating Karen Millen’s designs with Mamou-Mani’s strong design ethos.
Arthur Mamou-Mani has created a beautiful installation titled ‘The Magic Garden’ for Karen Millen’s Regent Street store, London, which will be on display for five weeks from 15th April 2013. Make sure to visit our store during this time to interact creatively with this unique shopping environment, which Mamou-Mani describes as ‘an ethereal landscape floating through the whole store’.
The collaborative project is the first of its kind for Karen Millen and is a budding relationship that will continue through to the Autumn/Winter 2013 season, as Karen Millen is a dedicated supporter of emerging talent and has long been committed to discovering creatives at the early stages of their careers.
"Arthurs’ hands-on craftsmanship and his philosophy of developing his design through an end-to-end creative process so perfectly mirrors how we work at Karen Millen that we really wanted to collaborate with him on this project and on-going for our Autumn Winter ’13 press launch”
- Gemma Metheringham, joint Managing Director of Karen Millen
The Magic Garden will be on display from the 15th April 2013 at Karen Millen, 247 Regent Street, London.
