Everything you need to know about placing your order and making a payment.

How do I place an order?

You can browse by clicking on the tabs at the top of each webpage. Or, if you're searching for something specific type the product name into the search tab (at the top left of the webpage) and we'll show you everything related to your search. When you've found what you want, simply click 'add to bag', carry on shopping or go to the checkout to organise payment and delivery.

Please note we no longer process orders by phone in-store. If you wish to process an order by phone, please contact Customer Services. Orders are subject to availability.

Why can't I place my order?

We're sorry you're having problems paying for your order.

Please ensure:

  • The billing address matches the address your card is registered to (found on your bank statements).
  • Your card number is entered without any spaces or punctuation.
  • The delivery address matches the country of the website you're on – you can check this by clicking the flag in the top left corner.

If there's no option to make the payment for a particular item, it's likely the product has become unavailable.

If you continue to experience issues placing an order, please contact our customer services team.

So we can look into your problem a bit more, please state the country you're ordering from, the device and web browser you're using and the area of the website you're experiencing the issue.

How do I register for an account?

To create an account click My Account, then scroll to the bottom of the page and click 'Create an account'. You'll be taken to an account registration form where you'll be asked to fill in a few personal details and set a password, then simply click 'Create an account'. You'll also have the option to sign up to our email newsletters to keep updated about our new arrivals, exclusive previews and promotions.

Why should I register for an account?

You don't need to create an account when ordering online, however this will allow you to view your order history, manage your account and save payment and delivery details. You'll also receive an exclusive treat on your birthday if you've entered your date of birth in your account details.

How can I cancel my order?

Unfortunately we're unable to cancel orders.

However, you have 30 days from the date you receive your item(s) to return your item(s). This applies to both full price and sale items.

Please note that earrings are non-returnable for reasons of hygiene and safety.

Is it safe to make a payment online?

We take the security of your details very seriously. We use the highest-quality security system, ensuring any information you share with us is kept completely safe. We use a 128-bit SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) encrypted secure internet connection to protect your payment details. Your computer should automatically allow the opening of the secure connection when you place your order. This means all details you supply and any responses are encrypted. You can tell whether a page is secure as a small locked padlock will appear in your browser address bar. If you do receive an email claiming to be from us asking you to confirm any account or credit card details, please contact our customer services team to confirm it's a genuine email.

How do I apply a promo code?

At checkout, simply enter promo code or NUS number and click ‘apply'.

Why is my promo code not working?

We're sorry your discount didn't apply to your order. This could be for one of the following reasons:

  • Only one promotion can be used per order
  • Promotion may only be valid for one transaction
  • Promotion may only be valid when using a specific card e.g KM Card
  • Promotion may exclude certain product e.g sale goods
  • Promotion has expired

We'd suggest checking the terms of the promotion for any exclusions. If, after this, you're still finding the promotion isn't applying, please contact customer service here and we'll be happy to help.

Can I use my student discount?

UK students are eligible for 10% discount on full-price and sale items online at www.karenmillen.com and in standalone Karen Millen stores in the UK.


Proof of student status is required – an NUS card must be presented in order to obtain the discount.

How do I use my gift card?

To use your gift card online, select the gift card payment method on the checkout.
Enter the 19-digit gift card number and four-digit PIN. This will show your current gift card balance.
Finally, click the "pay securely" button.
If you have trouble placing the order and you've found your gift card amount to be wiped in error, please let us know and we'll rectify this for you.

In-store, simply hand over your gift card at the till point and the amount of your purchase will be deducted from the card. We'll then issue you with a receipt totalling the amount remaining on the card.

Gift cards are valid for 24 months after the last date they are used. After 24 months, any remaining funds become void. Should your gift card become lost, stolen or damaged, we're not able to re-issue it.

If you have more than one gift card and would like to merge all the values onto one card, we can help. Just let us know the gift card numbers for each one and an image of your proof of purchase.
